Using the Library: Services & Amenities

Get a Library Card

Any resident of the city of Verona is eligible to receive a free Verona Public Library card with proof address and a photo ID. See the Circulation Policy for acceptable forms of ID, library cards for minors, application form, and further eligibility information. Printable Library Card Application

Free Public Computer Use

With a library card in good standing you can use the Internet and Microsoft Office software accessible computer lab for free. You can reserve a computer in advance, or simply log on to an open computer with your library card number and PIN. Printing is $.10 per black and white page or $.25 per color page. If you have a laptop, you can also use the library's wireless connection for free. It requires you to set up a simple account using an email address, password, and an agreement to the terms of use. Meeting and Study Rooms

Any of five study rooms can be booked immediately based on availability. Meeting rooms are for meetings with eight or more people and require an application form in advance. See the Meeting Room Policy for the application form and regulations and the Study Room Policy for further details.

Loan Periods and Fines

28 Days: Books, instruction kits, and audio books
14 Days: New adult fiction, Red Hot Rental titles, magazines, newspapers, music CDs, CD-ROMs, and videogames.
7 Days: Video formats

$.10/day – Adult books, adult magazines, adult audio books, CDs, and newspapers.
$.05/day – Children’s and teen books, children’s audio books, and children’s magazines.
$.50/day – VHS, DVDs, Blu-Rays, CD-ROMs, and videogames.

Most items can be renewed up to two times provided no one else has reserved the item. If provided with an email address, the library will send a courtesy pre-overdue notice two days prior to an item's due date. See the Circulation Policy for full details.
